Lymington Is Among The Top Five Most Desirable UK Seaside Towns

Halifax building society released it’s report yesterday (30th May 2011) stating that “House prices have more than doubled over the past decade in the majority of seaside towns in England and Wales”.

Despite the difficulties that the economy has encountered over the last couple of years the average property in these areas has increased in price by approximately 128% over the last ten years.  This is a substantial increase which we think is likely to continue, with demand from buyers relocating or purchasing a second home and those finding their utopia never wishing to leave, this highlights a trend that you really want to be part of.

Demonstrating the desirability of our town, the Halifax report found that the average house price in Lymington is in the top five of all UK coastal towns.  We have always been proud to sell properties in Lymington as we are so passionate about the beauty of the area, and this latest report shows that many people also hold it in high regard.  Being such a unique and stunning location between the Solent Shore on the South Coast and the New Forest National Park it really does provide a beautiful setting for a home. Nitesh Patel, housing economist at Halifax believes the desire to live in locations like Lymington is partly because ‘they typically have a high quality of life and a healthy environment’.
